Super Dog Walking joined over 1,500 dog owners, advocates, enthusiasts, supporters and care givers at the Anti-Cruelty Society’s Annual Bark in the Park fundraising event. We were happy we could participate and watch the dogs have so much fun being in and around such a festive atmosphere. Alongside all the great local businesses representing themselves there, we saw games for dogs, a dog art and temporary tattoo booth, dog contests, a dog photo booth, an agility course (watch Paulie run the course in the Youtube video!) and a meet and greet area.

We brought three dogs with us, Grace, Paulie and Lucy and they all had a blast. The event’s focus is the 5K walk/run and it was a magnificent sight to see hundreds of dogs walking peacefully with their parents, side by side. We met many wonderful folks and wonderful dogs.

While we were strolling about the event grounds, we met Meredith London. She is a dog portraiture artist based in Highland Park. We also met some folks from the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue organization. They had three little Bostons with them and told us they have plenty that need forever homes. They mostly work with Bostons who have some disabilities and have had “rough lives”.

Bark in the Park was held at Montrose Harbor near the Montrose Dog Beach. We are happy we could participate and we encourage all dog lovers to check out the event next year and check out the other dog-related events happening in Chicago all the time. We have an events page on our website.

If you know of any event or would like us to add one to our page, please feel free to get in touch with us. Our participation is important to us for many reasons. The most important reason is it makes us feel good and we know the dogs love being active and around other dogs and folks who love them
