We are a full service pet care company providing dog walking, dog daycare and boarding to pets in several neighborhoods throughout Chicago.
My name is Dana Palmer and I am the owner and operator of Super Dog Walking, LLC. I started Super Dog Walking in 2008 with the desire to provide superior pet care by focusing on how I would want my own dog treated while in the care of others. I was often disappointed by my dog coming home stinky after a daycare day and not really receiving much attention from his walker while out on his walks. Mostly I was tired of feeling concerned that my dog wasn't getting the love he needed and deserved while in the care of others.
When thinking about the structure and framework for Super Dog Walking, I was concerned with safety, reliability, trustworthiness, compassion, flexibility and a commitment to ensuring all pets felt loved and attended to while in my care. All these years later, I am still continuously thinking about these elements and how important they are in the lives of all the dogs we provide services to.
We are unique in that I operate Super Dog Walking from my home in Old Irving Park. By operating out of my home, I am able to provide a much more comfortable and exclusive service to my clients and their dogs. All dogs coming for daycare and boarding are treated as my own while with me and are given free range of my home and fenced in yard. This also allows for a more cozy setting for your dogs to enjoy by limiting the number of dogs cared for at a given time.
Super Dog Walking also stands apart from other dog care companies in that we do not work with independent contractors. All of our dog walkers and sitters are W-2 employees of Super Dog Walking. They have passed a background check, are bonded, insured, covered by worker's compensation and unemployment insurance and are given extensive hands on training before ever being allowed to walk or sit for dogs on their own. This allows for much greater safety and security for our clients, our walkers and for all the dogs we serve.
